Electrical Maintenance Facility

Project Description

Mr. Welkenbach, as Project Architect and Task Manager, served as the principal designer for the Electrical Maintenance Facility, a 20,000 square foot facility that was the pivotal component to revitalization of the Electrical Maintenance Complex at Kennedy Space Center and which provided new and renovated space for maintenance shops, offices, equipment, and material storage in support of electrical maintenance functions for the Kennedy Space Center. Mr. Welkenbach developed the design – both the exterior mass and the interior planning – through spatial programming, 3D modeling, and interactive workshops with the direct client and users.
