CyberCafé

Project Description

Jones Edmunds designed a CyberCafé to be located in Room 1242 of the Headquarters Building at Kennedy Space Center (KSC). As Project Manager, Mr. Welkenbach developed and conducted a concept validation presentation and workshop with the client and users to gather functional criteria and to determine funding needs and sources for the design of a wireless Internet hotspot and self-serve café at the KSC Headquarters building. Mr. Welkenbach’s work included design and detail development, code analysis, coordination and management of project disciplines – Environmental, Demolition, Architectural, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical – and coordination with code authorities to complete the drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for the project construction documents.
